My writing journey to finish my book.

I’ve been writing stories for years, but Signals in the Lemon Grove became something different. From the moment I started it in August 2025, I knew I’d found a story worth telling.

By December, after writing more than thirty chapters, I finished the first draft. I then worked with an editor, who guided the manuscript through a professional assessment, completed in early March 2026.

Since then, I’ve been revising the novel while balancing a full-time job. It’s been a challenging but incredibly rewarding journey, and I’m now approaching the end of the first major revision. Every pass brings the story one step closer to the book I imagined from the very beginning.

Today I completed the revision of Chapter 30 of Signals in the Lemon Grove. With a total of 35 chapters, the finish line is finally coming into view. Revising each chapter has been just as rewarding as writing the first draft, giving me the opportunity to strengthen the story, deepen the characters, and refine the emotional journey. It's exciting to see the novel taking its final shape, one chapter at a time.
